Jane Addams Internships
Internships are on-the-job learning experiences for women with initiative and desire to enhance skills needed in a social change organization. An intern in the U.S. Section WILPF office will work in an open, supportive environment, interacting with a staff of women. Because we use a participatory, feminist mode of decision making, she will learn valuable group process skills as well. She will have one supervisor, though she will work with other staff members and WILPF leaders, all accomplished in their fields. Interns are asked to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, ranging from ten weeks to one year, based on availability, project length, and performance. Our general term is 12 weeks. We occasionally offer stipends. An intern will focus on one area of organizing for in-depth experience. Internships available in the following areas: Dean Reed Program Intern
