This report takes stock of the implementation of recommendations made to Cameroon by international human rights mechanisms, in particular by the Universal Periodic Review and the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The recommendations in this report cover the following themes: non-discrimination, gender-based violence, women’s participation in public and political life, the impact of conflict on women and girls, birth and civil status registration and the right to education. This report aims to provide information that can be used by civil society, States and UN human rights mechanisms to improve the monitoring and implementation of human rights in Cameroon.
