This statement by WILPF Ghana, supported by Songtaba and Savannah Women Integrated Development Agency (SWIDA) Ghana, was made during the UN Human Rights Council’s adoption of the outcome of the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Ghana.
The statement highlights the persistence of the harmful practice of witchcraft accusations in Ghana and calls for prompt and decisive actions to eradicate this form of gender-based violence.
It was delivered via pre-recorded video by Naida Kwarteng Osei, a member of WILPF Ghana.
