This report was submitted to the 73rd session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discriminations Against Women (CEDAW). This report focuses on the impacts of the artisanal and industrial mining sector on women’s rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It focuses on discrimination against women in access to work, women’s participation in decision-making in the mining participation of women in the decision-making process in the mining sector, forced evictions and sexual and gender-based violence, as well as the impact on women’s health of environmental pollution from mining activities.
