Submission to Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR- relating to the “Report on promoting and protecting the human rights of women and girls in conflict and post-conflict situations on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Security Council resolution 1325 (2000)”. This WILPF submission builds upon our understanding of how the mutually reinforcing systems of capitalism, patriarchy, and militarism contribute to conflict and violations of women’s and girls’ human rights. It draws attention to the necessity of addressing human rights through conflict prevention strategies and women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding process.
