DESCRIPTION:Host: Women Deliver  \n\n\n\nOpen to: Public \n\n\n\nAbout: From 27–30 April 2026\, the Women Deliver Conference will be regionally hosted for the first time — by the Oceanic Pacific — in Narrm (Melbourne)\, Australia\, on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. \n\n\n\nIt’s space to come together — across oceans\, movements\, and generations — to resist\, to reimagine\, and to rebuild. \n\n\n\nWD2026 centers the leadership and lived experience of feminists\, First Nations leaders\, and advocates across the Oceanic Pacific. \n\n\n\nOver 6\,500 advocates — from grassroots organisers to policymakers — will gather to share strategies\, build solidarity\, and shape bold feminist futures. \n\n\n\nHow to participate: Registration information here. Scholarships are currently available exclusively to youth from or based in the Oceanic Pacific region — especially those who may not otherwise be able to attend. DESCRIPTION:Members are invited to an online\, members-only screening of Imagine Peace marking the 111th anniversary of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. The screening will take place in the presence of director Fabian Chiquet and will be followed by a live conversation.About the movie \n\n\n\nImagine Peace (2026)\, directed by Fabian Chiquet\, is a documentary portrait of Edith Ballantyne\, a centenarian peace activist and former president of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. \n\n\n\nHaving fled Nazi persecution in 1938\, Ballantyne went on to dedicate her life to the international peace movement\, playing a key role in mobilising global advocacy for disarmament and supporting feminist organising within the United Nations system and beyond. \n\n\n\nThe film traces her lifelong commitment to peace while bringing it into dialogue with today’s world\, marked by renewed wars\, rising militarisation\, and urgent calls for justice. Through reflections and encounters with contemporary activists\, Imagine Peace explores what it means to continue building peace across generations and movements.
