30th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30)

Description: The 2025 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 30) will convene in November 2025 in Belém, Brazil. It will include the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 30), the 20th meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 20), and the seventh meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 7), as well as the 63rd sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 63) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 63) will also meet.
Open to: The COP is attended by all countries that have signed and ratified the Convention and civil society.
How to Participate: WILPF has a limited number of badges for in-person participation. Members from WILPF’s Environment Working Group (EWG) from the region (Americas) will be prioritised considering that the conference will take place in Brazil. WILPF is not able provide any additional financial support beyond WILPF’s Activist Grant. In past COPs, there was the option of virtual badges which allows remote participants to follow many of the negotiations and events.
