Feminist Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) workshop
Did you know that according to WILPF’s Constitution and By-Laws, Sections are required to report annually to the International Board? The purpose of the reporting process is not only to foster accountability, but also to make room for learning, feedback and coordination for future actions. If your WILPF Section or Group have ever struggled to meet this requirement, wondered what happens to these reports, or if you have ideas about how this process could be improved – then this workshop is for you!
WILPF Sections and Groups are invited to this workshop to:
• Review the 2023 Section report summary, highlighting key activities and achievements.
• Reflect on the current reporting process, including templates, feedback, and the summary report, and explore how members perceive the purpose and value of the reporting process.
• Introduce Feminist MEL principles, focusing on accountability and learning rather than top-down reporting.
• Collaborate on ways to make global MEL processes more useful for collective accountability and shared learning, for example via virtual reporting.
