Hear more from Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen: Beyond Ceasefires, Feminist Peacebuilding in protracted wars

15 July 4:00 pm 5:00 pm

Host: WILPF Lebanon, WILPF Yemen, WILPF Palestine TBC

Open to: WILPF members only, WILPF members and invited guests

About: Across the world, many conflicts have become protracted crises marked by repeated cycles of violence, displacement, militarization, political uncertainty, and fragile peace processes. This panel brings together feminist peacebuilders and women leaders from Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen to explore what feminist peacebuilding means when communities live through prolonged conflict and when women remain excluded from decisions shaping security, recovery, and political futures.

Drawing on their lived experiences, panelists will discuss women’s leadership in civilian protection, community organizing, advocacy, peace efforts, and environmental justice. The discussion will identify shared challenges and lessons across contexts, examining how feminist movements challenge militarized approaches to security and advance alternatives rooted in justice, inclusion, human security, and meaningful participation in peace processes.

Language: English, interpretation in Arabic TBC

How to participate: WILPF members: find the Zoom link in the spreadsheet of workshops available on the Congress page on myWILPF!
