The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) welcomes collaboration with students who wish to contribute to our work through a supervised research or project placement. WILPF is eager to host students whose academic work aligns with our mission and values.
Please note: At this time, WILPF is unable to provide any payments or stipends for the project and therefore can only host students who already have secured the necessary funding for their work. For independently funded placements, working hours and duration will be strictly monitored to comply with all applicable labor laws.
How to Submit a Proposal
If you are a current student that requires an organisational host for an academic project, and you think WILPF is a good match, you are invited to submit a proposal for our consideration.
Your proposal must include:
- Your CV/Resume
- A Detailed Project/ Research Proposal (up to 500 words) outlining the project/research you intend to conduct and how it aligns with one of WILPF’s key program areas (e.g., Women, Peace and Security; Disarmament; Human Rights).
- Proposed Timeline and Duration (e.g., 3 months, 20 hours/week).
- Location Preference (Geneva, New York, or remote). Please note: Placement is dependent on team location/capacity. WILPF is unable to sponsor visas for this purpose.
Please send proposals to: jobs@wilpf.org with “Student Internship/Fellowship Proposal” in the subject line.
Proposals will be considered on a rolling basis and will be selected based on relevance to WILPF’s current advocacy/programmatic priorities as well as team availability. Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
