In December, we launched the African Union Silencing the Guns in Africa Activism Guide with Gun Free South Africa (GFSA), the guide has been featured in two media outlets in South Africa.
Developed by the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom’s Mobilising Men for Feminist Peace Initiative (MMFP) and Gun Free South Africa (GFSA), the guide is a resource for activists to help silence the guns across the continent. It includes the latest information on the extent of the gun problem in Africa and offers over 40 Ideas for Action that activists can use to collect information, undertake research, raise awareness and lobby for meaningful action to help silence the guns in Africa.
