SUMMARY:NEGOTIATING the END of WAR
DESCRIPTION:In the lead-in to International Women’s Day week\, and in recognition that we are now one hundred years on from the end of WW1\, the panel will address three key areas pertaining to negotiating the end of war: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQueensland historian Dr Deborah Jordan will speak about the findings of her research\, including women’s roles in negotiating the end of WW1.\n\n\nFormer senator Larissa Waters will consider the role of Parliament in declaring war.\n\nGriffith University Associate-Professor Susan Harris-Rimmer will relate the topic to the work of peace activists of today.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe forum will be opened by Mary Crawford and will include questions from the audience. \nRSVP (free) before 26 February. \n
