This report takes stock of the implementation of recommendations made to the Democratic Republic of Congo by international human rights mechanisms, in particular by the Universal Periodic Review, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Discrimination Against Women and the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The recommendations in this report cover the following themes: domestic violence women’s right to just and favourable conditions of work, women’s participation in public and political life and the impact of arms on human rights. This report aims to provide information that can be used civil society, States and UN human rights mechanisms to improve the monitoring and implementation of human rights in the Democratic Republic Republic of Congo.
