About: Join WILPF members from countries including Colombia, Togo, Lebanon, and Zimbabwe for a discussion about their work at the intersection of environmental justice and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda. In 2024 and 2025, WILPF members conducted different projects on these issues, building on WILPF’s longstanding work on WPS and the environment. In this session, you will hear from them on issues including:

  • The gendered impacts of lithium mining in Zimbabwe;
  • Local-level water governance in Togo;
  • Women’s mediation of environmental and other disputes in Southern Lebanon; and
  • Ecofeminist organising against extractivism and militarism in Colombia.
