As part of the project WomenVotePeace, feminist activists from Hungary and other European countries will gather in Budapest for a one-day event to discuss the past and the future of feminist activism for peace and justice.
The event will include three sessions and one open discussion. Please note that the times of the different sessions might change.
10:00 – 11:30 Lecture – Feminist past: Hungarian and international WILPF history – presented by Judit Acsády (Hungarian feminist historian) and Heidi Meinzolt (WILPF Board Member for Europe)
11:45 – 13:15 Panel discussion I – What we are fighting with and what we are fighting for? Feminist activists in conversation
14:30 – 15:30 Panel discussion II – Feminist future – how we carry on the policies of Zürich conference and should we create new ones? Feminist activists in conversation
15:45 – 17:30 Open discussion with the audience
19:00 Movie Screening: Versailles 1919 – Return of the dangerous women
For those coming from outside Budapest, arrival is recommended on 15 November.
On 15 November there will be a feminist walk of Budapest between 15:00-17:00 and a dinner scheduled for that same event from 17.30-20.00.
