9 October – 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Host: Peace Women, WILPF’s WPS Programme
Description: You may have heard about the WPS agenda or Security Council Resolution 1325. But are you familiar with what the agenda really stands for? Who is responsible for implementing it? How is the implementation going? And why do feminist organisations work on it?
The International Secretariat will be hosting an upcoming one-hour online training about the basics and foundations of the WPS agenda. The audience for this training is people who have not worked much on the agenda but want to learn more about it from WILPF’s feminist anti-militarist perspective. The training will cover topics, including: the UNSC resolutions on WPS, other relevant international frameworks, national action plans (NAPs), and regional action plans (RAPs), feminist critiques of the agenda, and case studies.
Open to: WILPF members, members of Young WILPF, and friends of WILPF who may be interested, including students.
